A full featured instant messaging chat service is available at Louisiana Tech University. The service provides a secure, advertising free system for students, faculty and staff to communicate person to person, or as groups. Why use this system?
This system is ideal if you want to instant message with students, faculty, staff or classmates, but do not want to give them your private instant messenger. The system can also be secured to allow encrypted conversations. You can also chat with Google Mail users without having a Google Mail account.

What chat clients are recommended?
