How to find a computer's IP Address (Windows)
This section describes how to find a computer's IP Address if said computer is running Windows XP/Vista/7.

Windows 7/Vista

1) Click Start

2) Type  "cmd" into the search box and press ENTER

3) Once the black box appears type "ipconfig" and press ENTER

4) The first section of text beneath where your typed should be titled Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection.  Within that section there should be an IPv4 Address.  The set of numbers after that label is the IP Address

Windows XP

1) Click Start and select All Programs then Accessories and open Command Prompt.

2) Once the black box appears type "ipconfig" and press ENTER

3) The first section of text beneath where your typed should be titled Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection.  Within that section there should be an IPv4 Address.  The set of numbers after that label is the IP Address
