Windows Keyboard Shortcuts

The following is a list of Windows keyboard shortcuts.

 

Combinations involving the Windows Key:

Shows the desktop (press again to restore everything)

Opens Windows explorer

Opens the “search and Replace” dialog (application specific)

Indents text (application specific)

Creates a new document (application specific)

Opens a document (application specific)

Prints the current document (application specific)

Saves the current document (application specific)

Closes a window in an application

Redo the last action (application specific)

Undo the last action (application specific)

 Typically shows the menu associated with the specific key. Menu names usually have the correct key underlined to show which it is. Eg ALT+F usually opens the File menu, ALT+E the Edit Menu and ALT+V opens the View menu.

 Closes an application
